PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of antibacterial effect caused by the post- treatment by carrying out an antibacterial treatment of a textile structure at a temperature higher than the temperature of the post-treatment process such as dyeing and bleaching. CONSTITUTION:A textile structure is subjected to antibacterial treatment with an emulsified and dispersed aqueous solution composed mainly of e.g. 3,4,4'- trichlorocarbanilide as an antibacterial agent, a polyhydric alcohol, a polyoxyethylene-type nonionic dispersion agent and a cationic dispersion agent before the post-treatment such as dyeing and bleaching at a temperature higher than the post-treatment temperature. The lowering of the antibacterial effect by the post-treatment can be prevented by this process. The textile structure is preferably row stock or tow of a fiber containing anionic group, especially preferably acrylic fiber, polyamide fiber, acetate fiber, cellulosic fiber, wool, etc. |
