PURPOSE:To reduce noise in traveling on the road without lowering tractive force and durability in off-road travel. CONSTITUTION:In this pneumatic tire, the tread is provided with plural longitudinal grooves 3 to form a rib pattern provided with a center rib and a shoulder rib formed along the tread edge, a rib block pattern with lateral grooves provided at the shoulder rib, and a rib-lug pattern with lugs provided at the shoulder rib. The center rib is provided with by-pass grooves 7 each of which is formed of a first lateral groove part 9 with one end thereof communicated with one longitudinal groove and the other end thereof ending in the center rib while being inclined at an angle of 0-50 deg. to the tire meridian L, a second lateral groove part 10 with one end thereof communicated with the other longitudinal groove and the other end thereof ending in the center rib while being inclined at an angle of 0-50 deg. to the tire meridian and that in the same direction as the first lateral groove part 9, and a connecting groove part 11 connecting the respective other ends of the first and second lateral groove parts 9, 10 to each other while being inclined at an angle of 0-25 deg. to the tire equator. |
