PURPOSE:To form a compact, respectable, and functional camera supporting mechanism. CONSTITUTION:This camera supporting mechanism is composed of a hollow cylindrical body 7 which stands erect on a fixed pedestal 4 and can rotate freely, mobile arm section 8 which is slidably housed in the body 7 and can be pulled up, and camera receiving base 9 mounted on the upper end of the section 8 in such a state that the base 9 can be tilted forward and backward by means of the 1st joint 38. The camera receiving base 9 supports the barrel section of a camera 6 in such a state that the camera 6 can be rotated around its axis and can be freely removed from the base 9 and the mobile arm section 8 is constituted so that the section 8 can be tilted forward and backward against the cylindrical body 7 by means of the 2nd joint 31 and, when the section 8 is completely housed in the body 7, hook members 22 protruding out of the left and right side walls of an arm case 21 constituting the upper section of the body 7 are elastically engaged with slots provided in the bottom wall of the base 9 and lock the camera 6 in the state. |
