PACKET TRANSFER CONTROL SYSTEM BETWEEN COMMUNICATION CONTROL PROCESSORS

PURPOSE:To detect a fault of a destination communication control processor early by implementing packet transfer between communication control processors in an ISDN compatible exchange efficiently. CONSTITUTION:A terminal equipment accommodation equipment 1 being a communication control processor accommodating an ISDN interface terminal equipment and a packet processing unit 2 being a communication control processor implementing the protocol processing of a packet are provided with an inter-processor link access control program 4. The control program 4 manages a link state for each logical link number between the communication control processors. Moreover, the program 4 manages a transmission wait packet registration table and a transmission acknowledge wait packet registration table provided to each link between the communication control processors. Then the sequence control in the transmission and reception of a packet in existence in the transmission wait packet registration table, the rationality discrimination of received packet information and the congestion control of packet transfer are implemented for each link.
