<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the shortage of a tape by detecting the remaining quantity of the tape before a reserved video recording is started and rewinding the tape until the automatic video recording of all specified programs is made possible at the time of the shortage of a tape remaining quantity for the reserved video recording. CONSTITUTION:A desired video recording channel and a date and time are set by a reserving setting section 11 and these are stored in a reserving storage section 12. The measuring of a tape remaining quantity is supported by a control section 14 at a tape remaining quantity detection 15 before the video recording is started while a current time from a clock section 13 and plural reserved contents from the storage section 12 are compared and transmitted to a discrimination section 16. Then, the recording times of this tape remaining quantity and the reserved content of the storage section 12 are compared, at the time of the shortage of the tape remaining quantity a rewinding equivalent to the amount of this shortage is instructed to a tape traveling section 17, the tape is rewound to the position where, the specified program is completely recorded and when a reserving video recording starting time is reached, the video recording is started by a magnetic recording section 18.</p> |
