This washing plant for suspensions comprises a vessel 1 which contains a conveyor device, preferably an endless screen 2, permeable to liquids, and in which there is provided at a certain distance above the conveyor device 2 at least one dividing wall 10, 11, 12, substantially transverse or arranged obliquely in relation to the direction of entrainment 8 of the latter and which subdivides the vessel into at least two sections, while between the dividing wall 10, 11, 12 and the conveyor device, a slit 13, 14, 15 is formed for the suspension to pass through, this washing plant further comprising at least one suction box 16, 17, 18 arranged solely below the conveyor device 2 and upstream of a respective dividing wall 10, 11, 12 for extracting the liquid from the suspension by suction, as well as at least one delivery device 19, 20, 21, installed solely downstream of this dividing wall and below the entrainment device, for introducing the washing liquid into the suspension.
