PURPOSE:To surely improve the magnetic property by controlling the generation of a magnetic impurity phase when applying nitrogen diffusion treatment to alloy magnetic powder which has R (R is at least one kind among rare earth elements including yttrium), boron, and T (T is a group 3d transition metallic element mainly composed of Fe) for its main ingredients. CONSTITUTION:The method of manufacturing a rare earth magnetic material, which has isotropy or anisotropy, by quenching it until its temperature becomes 300 deg.C or less from the treatment temperature after applying nitrogen diffusion treatment to alloy magnetic powder consisting of 10-30 atomic% R (R is at least one kind among rare earth elements including yttrium), 2-28 atomic% boron, and 65-82 atomic% (where, T is a group 3d transition metallic element mainly composed of Fe). |
