Process and assembly to clean loose filter materials used in silo stripper - utilises rotating drum assembly

A fluid e.g. water is passed through a silo stripper unit in which loose filter materials remove impurities from the water by adhesion. The loose filter materials are subsequently cleaned within a stripper plant; the cleaning of the filter materials is undertaken without the use of cleaning liquid and surrounded by air or gas; the impurities are removed by vigorous acceleration and subsequent impact of the filter bodies; the filter bodies are placed within a horizontally arranged drum and raised to the top and then allowed to fall and impact. USE/ADVANTAGE - Filter materials which were previously used once and then thrown away, may be re used. The amount of space required for dumps is reduced. The requirement for energy, materials and machines for filter manufacture is reduced.
