Element is formed as a floor plate with a rectangular or quadratic cross-section. It incorporates grooves into which fit fillet-type projections on the peripheral sides of the floor plate. It is formed as a step profile for renovation of stairways. The element has at least two angularly connecting sections formed by the bearer layer and the outer layer. The bearer layer on its side turned away from the outer layer carries markings as an aid to cutting. The outer layer is sealed.
