Compsn. comprises a polybutylene terephthalate resin, and an elastomer onto which ca. 40-60wt.% of a copolymer is grafted. The copolymer is obtd. by copolymerising an alpha-substd. acrylate and acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or their mixt. The copolymer is thermodynamically miscible with the polybutylene terephthalate. The polybutylene terephthalate resin may be a homopolymer or a copolymer. The elastomer may be ethylene/propylene/ 1,4-hexadiene, ethylene/propylene/ dicyclopentadiene, or isobutyleneisoprene rubber. The alpha-substd. acrylate may be ethyl methacrylate, n-propyl methacrylate or isopropyl methacrylate. The grafted copolymer may be ethyl methacrylate/methacrylic acid copolymer. The compsn. may contain a reinforcing filler. The compsn. may contain ca. 1-50wt.% of the grafted elastomer and ca. 50-99wt.% of the polybutylene terephthalate resin.
