<p>Textile sheeting for the production of tarpaulins for trucks or the like comprising a support made of polyester, polyamide or polypropylene fibres which is coated on at least one side over its entire area with a meltable polyolefin co- or terpolymer or the like. In order to obtain tarpaulins having a coating free of polyvinyl chloride, the sheeting is designed in such a manner that the following polar polyolefin co- or terpolymers are used: ethylene ester copolymers, ethylene acid copolymers and ethylene acid ionomers, ethylene ester/acid terpolymers, co- or terpolymers of ethylene and alpha-olefins as long as they have been prepared using a catalyst system based on transition metals, which polymers have been applied to the support over its entire area from the melt.</p> |
