CONTROLLER FOR FLYWHEEL GENERATOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a controller for a flywheel generator which can continuously communicate rotary energy of a flywheel with a power system within a variable speed control range of a rotating speed of the flywheel. CONSTITUTION:The controller for a flywheel generator comprises standby speed control means 16 for comparing a rotating speed of a rotor of a wound- rotor type induction machine 3 with a standby speed set value and speed- controlling it by controlling an exciting current of a secondary winding of the machine 3 so that its deviation becomes zero, upper limiting speed control means 17 for so controlling a rotating speed that the rotating speed does not exceed a predetermined upper limiting speed set value, and lower limiting speed control means 18 for controlling the speed so that the speed does not become less than a predetermined lower limiting speed set value.
