PURPOSE:To provide an ink compsn. which allows recording excellent in uniformity to be conducted without causing crystallization of a dye on a transfer sheet, by adding TiO2 to a sublimation type thermal transfer recording ink. CONSTITUTION:An ink compsn. is obtd. by adding TiO2 to a sublimation type thermal transfer recording ink contg. a dye, a binder, a solvent, etc. By adding TiO2, the dye can be prevented from being crystallized out on a transfer sheet. TiO2 is used in a quantity of at least 5wt%, pref. 10-100wt% based on that of the dye. A nonionic sublimable dye is used as a said dye. Examples of the dyes are compds. of formula I (wherein X is H, CH3; R, R<1> are each a 1-4C alkyl) such as compds. of formulas II, III. The dye is used in a quantity of 2-30wt% based on that of the compsn. |
