PURPOSE:To obtain a superhard sintered compact excellent in wear resistance and high-temp. strength, capable of being joined or clad with inexpensive steel and used for tools and dies. CONSTITUTION:This superhard sintered compact contains >=10wt.% of the superhard granular FeaMbC (M is W and/or Mo, a=2.8 to 5.0, and b=1.8 to 4.0) produced by the atomization method, <=50wt.% of the grains consisting of one or >=2 kinds among the carbides, carbonitrides and nitrides of V, Nb, Ti, and Zr and <=40wt.% of the binder powder consisting essentially of one or Z 2 kinds among Fe, Ni, Co and Cu, and the constituents are uniformly dispersed in the product. |
