PURPOSE:To selectively separate the subject genus Bacillus-competitive bacterium effective for inhibiting plant pathogenic bacteria by culturing the Bacillus- competitive bacterium by a flat plate method using an agar medium containing an antibody, a colorant, an inorganic salt, etc., each in specific amount. CONSTITUTION:The selective separation of the objective genus Bacillus- competitive bacterium BS-0001-SMCP-III is performed by culturing the bacterium at 30-37 deg.C by a flat plate method using an agar medium containing an antibiotic comprising 50-200ppm of Streptomycin, 50-200ppm of cycloheximide and 1-10ppm chloramhenicol, one kind or more of a coloring agent such as bromocresol green, bromocresol purple and bromothymol blue, 200-1000ppm of one kind or more of inorganic salts such as ammonium nitrade, ammonium sulfate or ammonium chloride, 200-1000ppm of one kind or more of amino acids of alanine, glycine, valine and methionine and 100-500ppm of lignin sulfonate sodium salt and having a pH of 6.2-7.2. |
