The optical fibre distributor has a dished housing (13) receiving at least one splice cassette (6), with associated termination elements (11) for an incoming optical cable (1) and outgoing optical fibres (9). The base (12) of the housing (13) has a cylindrical socket (5) forming a winding reel (14) for the incoming optical cable, with a carrier plate (10) across its angled top face for supporting the splice cassette and the termination elements for the outgoing optical fibres. The carrier plate is inclined at a given angle (alpha) relative to the housing base. The splice cassette is arranged parallel to the carrier plate. ADVANTAGE - Prevents excessive bending radius of optical fibre cable and optical fibres.
