The accumulator is intended for recuperating systems in transportation vehicles. It has a large capacity and there are reduced losses during charging. Its design comprises identical cylindrical discs (1), mounted next to each other and freely rotating on a common hollow central shaft (4), which is rotating in a body (5). In the hollow central shaft (4), a controlled clutch (7) is mounted for a selective coupling of the separate cylindrical discs (1) to the hollow central shaft (4).
