MANUFACTURE OF MAGNETIC POWDER

摘要

PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic powder wherein its saturation flux density is higher than that of pure Fe and its high saturation flux density can be kept when a dust core or the like is produced. CONSTITUTION:A mixed powder which is composed of a pure Fe powder and an Fe-N-based alloy powder composed mainly of an epsilon-FexN (where x=2 to 3) phase and which contains a total of 5 to 15 atomic & of N is crushed and mixed by using an attrition mill, an epicyclic ball mill or the like while high energy is being applied. Thereby, a quasistable Fe16N2 phase is formed.
