COMMUNICATION SYSTEM FOR TRAFFIC INFORMATION

PURPOSE:To provide a new mobile and bi-directional communication system for traffic information, where real-time traffic information from a traffic information processing center is displayed in an automobile navigation system by normally superimposing latest road information. CONSTITUTION:A teleterminal receiver and a teleterminal transmitter are additionally constituted for the color CRT device of a mobile terminal device 5 which selection-displays a map stored in CD-ROM. A communication means for superimposing and displaying traffic information generated in the traffic information processing center 3 on the selection-displayed map of color CRT and the communication means for transmitting an area designation inputted by a user to the traffic information processing center 3 are constituted to execute radio bi-directional communication transmission by a teleterminal system 4 or an automobile telephone line 8.
