PURPOSE:To avoid an interference of a suction nozzle with a device, etc., of a work base side by providing an attitude altering mechanism for automatically rotating a work head around its own axis by a predetermined rotary angle and varying the attitude of the nozzle and connecting a control hole of a control ring side to a suction hole of a work head side through a circular-arc groove as suction pressure supply means. CONSTITUTION:When a work is vacuum-clamped by a suction nozzle 78 by a supply section, a work head 70 is rotated around its own axis by a predetermined rotary angle by an attitude altering mechanism, and the attitude of the nozzle 78 is altered. Contact and separate are executed to a work base in an area separated at a predetermined distance from the work base. Since a suction hole 104 of a work head 70 side is connected to a control hole 142 of a control ring side through a circular-arc groove 138, even if the head 70 is rotated around its own axis by the altering mechanism, the connection between the holes 140 and 142 is obtained by suction pressure supply means. Accordingly, supply of a suction pressure is continued to hold the work. |
