The post (2) is made in two sections. The sections are made of different types of wood or differently treated woods. The lower section (1) projects into the ground (4) and up to approximately 40 cm above ground level to the joint (3). the joint may be a nailed or dovetail joint. The upper section of the wood post is made of a less rot resistant wood as ther is less need for protection in the above-ground portion. USE/ADVANTAGE - Two-part wooden post reduces need for environment damaging chemicals used for treating timber by restricting treated portion of post.
