Signal derivation system for real=time evaluation of road surface profile under motor vehicle - has monitors for vertical deflections of wheels and with data reduction signal processing to classify profiles
摘要
Sensors on the wheel suspensions provide vertical deflection signals which are processed to monitor the suspension dynamics. The processed signals represent a real time profile of the road under the wheel and are compared with reference profiles to classify the signals i.e. data reduction. The classified signals are used to control the active suspension and other systems on the vehicle. The data reduction provides a simplified processing system operating in real time. A simple system monitors the frequency of amplitude peaks above a set level in each sampling period. The system allows active suspension control, improved steering etc. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simplified processing; real-time suspension correction. Dynamic control for regulating, control and monitoring systems, e.g. antilocking or antislip in cars and commercial vehicles.
