<p>PURPOSE:To provide a cell transfer circuit to prevent the input buffer of an incoming-line from being overflown. CONSTITUTION:A cell arrived at incoming-line 100i is written into an input buffer 104i and cell numbers in it is counted. A cell sending authorization request circuit 115i outputs the value of a counter 112i to a bus 21 when a cell is present in the buffer 104i. A winner deciding circuit 118i compares the count value on the bus 21 with a sent count value and, if no coincidence is found, blocks a bus access number so as to refrain from requesting a cell sending authorization. If the count number coincidence is found, a bus access number is outputted to the bus 21. The winner deciding circuit 118i compares the bus access number on the bus 21 with a sent bus accessing number and when no coincidence is found, a number is not sent so as to refrain from requesting a cell sending authorization. When coincidence is found, a cell is read out of the input buffer 104i and an outputting destination outgoing-line number is examined starting with a cell header. The outgoing-line number of an outputting destination and a cell are sent out in this sequence to a buffer 22.</p> |
