PURPOSE:To generate a uniform magnetic field in the interaction space of a superconducting magnet without increasing the cost and at the same time, to reduce the leakage of the magnetic field to the outside. CONSTITUTION:This superconducting magnet device is provided with an SCM main coil 1 which is excited by a DC power source 2, SCM cancel coils 3 and 4 which are magnetically coupled with the coil 1 and form magnetic fields in the direction in which the magnetic field formed by the coil 1 is offset, and heaters 5 and 6 which heat at least parts of the coils 3 and 4. In addition, heater switches which control the turning on/off of the heaters 5 and 6 are provided and the coils 3 and 4 are constituted of a plurality of superconducting coils which are respectively short-circuited. Since the currents of two or more coils can be set to prescribed current values which are different from each other with one power source 2, the power consumption of the coils can be saved. Moreover, since only one power source is used, only one pair of current leads is required and heat intrusion can be reduced, resulting in a reduction in evaporating amount of liquid helium. |
