At one side (A) the spindle is supported in an adjusting mechanism (V) that allows the angular alignment B of the spindle axis, and hence of the pulley rotational axis, to be steplessly varied by amount and direction within a conical envelope. The adjusting mechanism consists of a rotatably mounted eccentric bush (8) in which is seated the spigot of a second rotatable eccentric bush (9) supporting the end of the spindle. The pulley alignment is adjusted by combined rotation of the two bushes. ADVANTAGE - Longer belt life. Simple, easily adjustable mechanism.
