摘要 The object (10) is clamped (9) to a rotary spindle and movable in x and y directions in a plane parallel to the table (1). Its contours are scanned by the vertical beam (12) from a laser source (11) producing two stripes (26,27) in a cruciform arrangement. The results of measurement are evaluated by computer (15) only where they originate from stripes whose inclination to the object surface for directly measurable contour points is close to the vertical. ADVANTAGE - Spatial positions of all edges of object can be determined with greater accuracy irrespective of their direction.
