PURPOSE: To obtain a relatively inexpensive gas analyzer which can simultaneously measure steam and carbon dioxide, can be operated at a relatively high speed, and has a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: In order to measure steam and carbon dioxide, a gas analyzer 10 is provided with a light source 32, a reference flow cell 36, a sample flow cell 34, a detector 38, and a gas source 12. The source 32, cells 36 and 34, and detector 38 are arranged so that the detector 38 can detect the light emitted from the source 32 after the light is passed through the cells 36 and 34. An independent variable is obtained by subtracting a reference signal from a sample signal. A carbon dioxide prepared by mixing carbon dioxide with air is supplied as necessary. The carbon dioxide is supplied from a container through a capillary tube. A signal representing the total concentration of the carbon dioxide as a dependent variable is obtained from an empirically decided polynominal. |
