PURPOSE:To provide the intention transmission device for the handicapped person which can increase the intention transmitting speed, facilitate character input operation, and enable input other than Roman character input. CONSTITUTION:An input mode selecting means 51a selects a general input mode or a single-key input mode. A Japanese word processing means 51b converts character input data into HIRAGANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) or KATAKANA (square form of Japanese syllabary) and outputs it from a character output device 53 when the character input data inputted in said general input mode or single-key input mode are Japanese. Further, a speech device 56 reproduces and outputs speech information recorded in a specific address correspondingly.
