<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic toner which always has stable electrifying characteristics without producing a toner having the opposite polarity by using a bead-type carbon black. CONSTITUTION:The toner contains a carbon black in the fixing resin, and this carbon black is a bead-type one. The bead-type carbon black is usually produced by granulating a powder type carbon black into granules, which has several 10mum to several mm particle size. The bead-type carbon black has no cohesion property itself, and has almost same particle size as that of the fixing resin so that it can be fitted to the resin during dispersion, mixing, melting and kneading and can be uniformaly dispersed in the resin. Therefore, the toner produced by pulverization and classification has uniform distribution of the carbon black, which has stable electrifying characteristics without producing a toner having the opposite polarity.</p> |
