PURPOSE:To stabilize the potential of an image carrier and to obtain an image of good quality by mounting a flange in the end part of a hollow cylindrical image carrier and operationally connecting the flange with the image carrier at the time at giving a driving force to the flange from the outside, and also attaching a ground member for grounding. CONSTITUTION:As to the flange 1, a grounding plate 2 formed of conductive material such as metal, etc., is fixed on the end surface inside the image carrier 4 by cauking, etc. The grounding plate 2 is made nearly circular and a spring part 2b is formed on the central part of the plate 2 so as to abut on a shaft 5. And also, plural projected lines 2c are formed around the grounding plate 2, in such a case, when the whole part is in a flat state, the diameter is made slightly larger than the inside diameter of the image carrier 4. Then, when the flange 1 integrally formed with the grounding plate 2 is inserted into the image carrier 4, the projected lines 2c are slightly curved, and then, the leading end of the projected line 2c is allowed to gnaw into the inside surface of the image carrier 4 at the prescribed position by its elasticity, so that both of them can be firmly fixed at their positions. |
