PURPOSE:To immediately stop a high tension generation device by a simple circuitry when a horizontal deflection output is stopped. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a horizontal oscillation means 1 oscillating a horizontal signal, a horizontal drive means 2 outputting a horizontal drive signal based on the horizontal signal, a horizontal output means 3 outputting a horizontal deflection signal based on the horizontal drive signal, a high tension generation device 5 being connected with the horizontal drive means 2 or the horizontal oscillation means 1 and generating high tension for a cathode ray tube 7, a protection means 8 stopping the horizontal oscillation means 1 when excess voltage generates in the high tension generation device 5 and a deflection stoppage detection means 4 detecting the output stoppage of the horizontal output means 3, stopping the horizontal oscillation means 1 via the protection means 8 or stopping the horizontal drive means 2. |
