PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of peeling of a photosensitive layer, etc., by the generation of a step between a cutting start end and a cutting terminating end in the case of cutting of a nickel cylinder previously provided with the photosensitive layer on the outside surface to a sliced form at the time of producing the electrophotographic sensitive body of a seamless belt type. CONSTITUTION:The upper parts of the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of a raw material 1 for the photosensitive body, such as nickel cylinder provided with the photosensitive layer on the outer peripheral surface, are inserted between upper and lower rotating members 5a and 5b which are respectively formed by disposing one set each of blade rollers 3a, 3b butted against each other at one end and rubber rollers 4a, 4b to one piece of shaft at prescribed intervals. The lower part of the inner peripheral surface of such raw material is pulled downward and held pendent by a tension roller 6. Either of the upper rotating member 5a or the lower rotating member 5b is rotated in one direction in this state and both end members of the raw material 1 for the photosensitive body are sheared by the opposite blade edges of the upper and lower blade rollers 3a, 3b and both ends of the raw material 1 for the photosensitive body are cut off by which the desired electrophotographic sensitive body is obtd. |
