PURPOSE:To obtain an excellent printing result as for both of a plain paper and a synthetic resin sheet such as an OHP sheet. CONSTITUTION:Since the light of a light emitting element 8 is not detected by a light receiving element 9b in the case that printing is executed on the plain paper, it is discriminated that the printing is executed on the plain paper and a current supplied to a transfer electrostatic charger 10 by a high-voltage power source 11 is set to be a current I1 being a level for a plain paper by a control part 12. Then, the printing is executed. Since the light of the element 8 is detected by the element 9b through the OHP sheet in the case that the printing is executed on the OHP sheet, it is discriminated that the printing is executed on the OHP sheet and the current supplied to the charger 10 by the power source 11 is set to be the current I2 being a level for a synthetic resin sheet by the control part 12. Then, the printing is executed. In such a case, relation between the currents is I1<I2. |
