The laser transmitter (LS) uses a semiconductor laser (HL) and an optical resonator (ER) in the form of an optical fibre directional coupler (RK) with a feedback device (RKE1, RKE2) cooperating with each of the two coupled optical conductors (WL1, WL2) of the directional coupler (RK). One feedback device (RKE1) allows the received radiation to be fed back to the directional coupler (RK), and laser transmitter output is obtained from the second optical conductor (WL2. The second feedback device (RKE2) allows fedback of the radiation received along second optical conductor (WL1) to the directional coupler (RK) with a system fibre (SyF) coupled (RK) with a system fibre (SyF) coupled to its opposite end. The feedback devices (RKE1, RKE2) may comprise mirrored surfaces at the ends of both optical conductors (WL1, WL2).
