PURPOSE:To enable the stable control by providing reserve elements, in addition to incomplete combustion detecting elements, in respective burners, and operating the elements in the same number at the time of the function change-over in a gas burner provided with a plurality of main burners and formed into a function change-over system. CONSTITUTION:In the function change-over system gas burner, each main gas burner 1 is provided with an incomplete combustion detecting element 4 in which one electrode 4a is heated by a constantly firing burner 5 in oxygen deficient state, and further a relatively large electric power is generated by the oxygen concentration in the normal combustion state of the burner 1. These elements 4 are connected in series to a safety device 6, and when the total value of the power of both elements is more than the predetermined value, the safety device 6 is opened of the valve, and the opened state is maintained. In this case, for example, a reserve element 8 is provided in the burner 1 at the lower side in the drawing. When the upper side burner 1 is not used, the element 8 is connected in series to the element 4 of the lower burner 1 through a switch 10 in place of the element 4 of the burner 1, thereby to improve the stability of the control. |
