PURPOSE: To obtain a tablet preparation that can readily release the active ingredients included in the tablet (for example, levodopa and carbidopa which are useful as a therapeutic agent for Parkinson's disease) and has excellent appearance and quality. CONSTITUTION: Both of or one of L-3,4-dihydropenylalanine (levodopa) and/orα-hydrazino-α-methyl-3,4-dihydroxyphenylpropionic acid (carbidopa) are mixed with a hydrophilic diluent, preferably lactose and/or microcrystalline cellulose. This mixture is further mixed with an adjuvant for producing tablets, selectively other active ingredients and a stearin solution in an organic solvent, preferably a 2-14C alkanol. The mixture is dried, granulated, selectively an adjuvant is admixed thereto and the mixture is compressed to tablets containing 50-70wt.% of the active ingredient. When necessary, the tablets are coated with a thin layer on thereby producing tablets or thin-layered tablets that contain levodopa and carbidopa at a weight ratio of (3-12):1 and having enhanced active ingredient-releasing properties. |
