PURPOSE:To provide a pyroelectric ceramic composition being good in temperature characteristics of pyroelectric coefficient, small in dielectric constant and large in pyroelectric coefficient, that is, high in performance index. CONSTITUTION:The objective pyroelectric ceramic composition characterized by being a basic composition expressed by the chemical formula [PbxLa(2/3)yCaz]TiO3 wherein x, y and z are within the following ranges and part of B site is replaced by at least either one among (Ni1/3Nb2/3), (Mg1/3Nb2/3), (Mn1/2Sb1/2), (Zn1/3Nb2/3), (SnwSb1-w) and (Cu1/3Nb2/3): 0.65<=x<=0.98, 0.01<=y<=0.30, 0.01<=z<=0.30 and 0<w<1. |
