PURPOSE:To prevent intrusion of a foreign substance to the device main body by providing a covering member to cover a gap formed between a paper feed cassette and a cassette mounting port, interlocking with mounting operation of the cassette to the cassette mounting port. CONSTITUTION:A sheet metal joint part 4 is formed on the upper part of a cassette mounting port, and a fixed sheet metal 3 is standingly fixed. Grooves are formed on both sides of the cassette mounting port so as to allow rotation of cams 7. In such constitution, when a cassette main body 6 is mounted on the cassette mounting port, the cams 7 are pressed with a cam pressing member so as to rotate the cams 7 clockwise by about 90 degrees. Consequently, a movable metal sheet 1 is rotated clockwise from the standing condition by about 90 degrees so as to abut against a cover body 5. The gap between the cassette main body 6 and the cassette mounting port is perfectly covered with a covering member A, invasion of a foreign substance to the device main body can be prevented, and troubles such as paper feed jam accompanied with intrusion of a foreign substance can be prevented. |
