PURPOSE:To obtain a peptide useful for diagnosing hypertension, etc., as an endothelin detecting reagent because of possession of specific reactivity and high bonding ability to endothelin and a therapeutic agent for hypertension and circulatory diseases. CONSTITUTION:A peptide which has integrity to endothelin and is selected from a group of peptides having a continuous sequence of at least four amino acids of amino acid sequences of formula I or formula II and its salt. The peptide, for example, is obtained by chemical synthesis by solid-phase method or liquid-phase method or by a method of preparing a DNA vector containing a DNA chain capable of decoding the peptide, transforming the vector with a cultured prokaryotic or eucaryotic cell and making the transformant produce the peptide. |
