PURPOSE:To provide an inverter unit for air-conditioner wherein energy saving is realized by increasing the efficiency during light load cooling or warming operation. CONSTITUTION:A three-phase induction motor 117 for compressor constituted of two systems of three-phase windings is provided, for respective systems, with first and second inverter units 109a, 109b for which a PWM signal switching circuit is provided. At the time of light load cooling or warming operation, the switching circuit 1 delivers a PWM signal to any one of the first or second inverter unit 109a, 109b to operate the inverter unit for only one system thus improving the total efficiency and realizing energy saving. |
