PURPOSE:To reproduce a continuous waveform signal extending over a long time. CONSTITUTION:A continuous waveform signal extending over a long time is recorded on a hard disk 42, and it is transferred to existing waveform signal memory 12 comprised of a RAM via buffet memory 23, and also, a waveform reproduction system 16 reads out and reproduces the continuous waveform signal from the waveform signal memory 12. In such a case, the one storage area of the waveform memory 12 is divided into two areas, and they are used as a double buffer. The waveform reproduction system 16 can reproduce the continuous waveform signal extending over a long time only by address- designating the storage area repeatedly. In such a case, the transfer of the continuous waveform signal from the hard disk 42 to the storage area and the readout of the continuous waveform signal from the storage area can be performed by using part of plural musical sound signal forming channels, and the allocation of a keyboard sound to the musical sound signal forming channel is prohibited. |
