PURPOSE:To accurately judge knocking generation by dividing the output of an knocking sensor into at least three frequency components. CONSTITUTION:Output of a knocking sensor is judged by a first means 503 by dividing it into at least three frequencies, a first knocking judgement is performed by a second means 504, and a noise judgement is performed by a third means 505, and generation of knocking is judged by the second means 504. When it is judged by the third means 505 that noise is not generated, a fourth means 506 is transferred to an ignition timing control. Consequently, malfunction of the knocking control caused by engine noise is prevented, and abnormal combustion of an engine is eliminated. |
