PURPOSE:To prevent impairment of food in flavor by controlling the opening and closing of the door by the use of a first and a second timer circuits. CONSTITUTION:The opening and closing of the door is controlled by the use of a first timer circuit 11 and a second timer circuit 13; the first timer circuit 11 detects closure of the door for a certain period of time and is made to act by an electronic keying means 10 and the second timer circuit 13 can be set for any given period of time. For example, at night or during a holiday when the door of the refrigerator is not used for a long time, if the user has forgotten to close or lock the door, the door is locked automatically so that the food inside can be kept in a proper state. The second timer circuit 13 is designed to keep the door locked, that is, not to allow the door to be opened, until completion of the defrosting of some food or some food mellows to a desirable state. This contrivance enables food to keep its flavor or keep the flavor unimpaired. |
