PURPOSE:To promptly divide words at the most natural positions on the pronunciations based on phoneme information for all words without necessity of much information like a division position list. CONSTITUTION:This word division processing specifies a word which is necessary to be divided by a line end word recognizer 5 so that the word may be conformed to the display form to be set for an input document. After the word is converted into a phoneme code column by a character-phoneme converter 6, a combination is generated so that the phoneme code column may be composed of the phoneme pattern of a phoneme pattern table 9 using a phoneme pattern table 9 in which a phoneme encoding is performed for the division possible units of various-words and the division possible information are corresponded. Based on the combination of this pattern, a division position decide 11 performs the decision of the plausible division position on the pronunciation. |
