PURPOSE:To perform code discrimination based on a guide-instructed code key appropriately in a code discriminator for a device which performs the automatic performance of a code pattern or a base pattern based on the code key inputted by a user. CONSTITUTION:When the user depresses the same key as the one by which a LED is lit as the code key based on the designation of a ROM package even in the case that the code specification of the code key designated by the user shows '7b5' or 'b9' and a discrimination result in code discrimination processing in step S302 becomes unsatble and discrimination in step S303 shows YES, a state can be discriminated in steps S305-307, etc., and the automatic performance of the code pattern or the base pattern can be performed by the code specification as instructed by the ROM package. The same result can be obtained when the discrimination result shows the fact that the code specification is 'dim7', 'aug', 'm7' or 'm7b5'. |
