<p>PURPOSE:To provide a muffler for engine having a function to catch fine grain contained in exhaust gas of engine and can be made small in size. CONSTITUTION:A large diameter section 2c which has a cross section twice that of an inlet 2a is provided in a housing 2, and a three-dimensional fabric structure F made of heat-resistant fiber is provided between a pair of partition plates 3, 4 which are provided in the large diameter section 2c. A through hole 3b which guides exhaust gas to the outside of the three-dimensional fabric structure F is formed in the partition plate 3, and a through hole 4b which communicate the inside of the three-dimensional fabric structure F with an outlet 2b is formed in the partition plate 4.</p> |
