<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the liquid crystal device and its manufacture which improves the contactness between a base insulating film and a transparent electrode and also improves the shape of the peripheral end part of the transparent electrode as to a TFT(thin film transistor) active matrix LCD(liquid crystal device) and its manufacture. CONSTITUTION:The liquid crystal device has an element formation layer 16 on a transparent substrate 27 where the conduction type area layer 18a of the transistor is formed, an electrode 22a which is connected to the conduction type area 18a, and a transparent electrode 23 which is connected partially to the electrode 22a and has its remaining extended onto the transparent substrate 27, and a beltlike buffer layer 22c is interposed between the peripheral edge part of the transparent electrode 23 extending onto the transparent substrate 27 and the transparent substrate 27.</p> |
