<p>PURPOSE: To dissolve the occurrence of frictional vibrations in coupling and restrict the occurrence of unpleased noises incidental to the frictional vibrations by a method wherein there is provided a frictional bonding agent having a variable coefficient of friction between a coupling jaw and a steering column or a driven device. CONSTITUTION: A hollow gear 2 is supported by a steering column 1, and is also driven by a worm 5 of an electromotor 6 via a small-diameter gear 3. Furthermore, the steering column 1 is coupled to the hollow gear 2 via a coupling 7. Furthermore, a plurality of coupling jaws 8, 9 are provided in the coupling 7, and also frictional linings 10, 11 in conjunction with a frictional face 12 are provided, respectively. The coupling 7 is housed in a casing 13, and also a frictional bonding agent 14 is filled up in the casing 13. At this time, the frictional bonding agent 14 is made a lubricant oil having an additive, and a slope of a frictional coefficient depicted on a slide speed is set to be greater than a negative value of an intrinsic damping indwelt in a system.</p> |
