The magnetic recording medium is propared by forming the magnetic layer on to one surface of the nonmagnetic base film by dispersing the strong magnetic powder within the adhesive agent, and forming the back-coating layer on to other surface of the base film. The back-coating layer is prepd. by dispersing inorganic particles using a binding agent comprising the acryl resin contg. 1- 5 wt.% of carboxyl gp. and the polyurethane resin. Pref. the amt. ratio of the acryl resin and the polyurethane resin is 3:7 8:2 wt. ratio.
