Sleeves stretching appts. for a knitwear ironing machine, comprises a spreadable chain having links with internal teeth engaging a drive sprocket, and external flat surfaces which engage the interior of a sleeve to stretch it flat. One end of the chain is pivotally connected to a slider movable along the edge of a guide frame.
